Coventry City ‘will sell’ Jack Rudoni in summer transfer window as Premier League clubs show interest
EFL Analysis has learned that Jack Rudoni is expected to leave Coventry City during the 2025 summer transfer window.
Despite an excellent season from Jack Rudoni, the Sky Blues suffered heartbreak in the Championship play-off finals.
Coventry City confirmed their place in the top six on the final day with a win over Middlesbrough before tasting defeat in the play-off semi-finals versus eventual winners, Sunderland.
Rudoni found the net in the first-leg meeting between the two sides, but it wasn’t enough to get Frank Lampard’s men over the line.
With another Championship season on the horizon, it looks as though Coventry will be selling one of their top stars this summer.

We previously reported that Sheffield United have looked at Rudoni as a potential replacement for Gustavo Hamer, who they also signed from Coventry.
The Sky Blues fans were not happy about potentially losing one of their best players.
Now, EFL Analysis have spoken to transfer expert Graeme Bailey for an update on the situation, with it understood that Rudoni is expected to leave and has interest from both the Premier League and Championship.
He said: “With Rudoni, obviously Coventry are assessing it. They will sell, though. We’ve seen the links to the Premier League; Leeds and Newcastle. I think Rudoni will go, but it’s just a matter of where he’ll end up. I think the player himself is going to be assessing it, but I think he will go this summer.
“There’s Premier League interest in there. But, I think the interest is stronger in the Championship as of now. He’s waiting to see what happens. I don’t think it’s 100% where he goes just yet, as in which league he goes to. But an exit is likely.”

Rudoni joined Coventry in the summer of 2024 from League One side Huddersfield Town.
He enjoyed an excellent 2024/25, nearly reaching double figures for both goals and assists.
Coventry could now replace Rudoni this summer as they once again look to make a promotion push in the forthcoming campaign.

Coventry winger Haji Wright has apparently been offered to five Turkish giants, including Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş.
The 27-year-old has been a player to get fans out of their seats over the past two seasons, which will explain their reaction to the news about Wright’s potential exit.
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts, as one fan said: “I’d be gutted. We’d need a huge fee. Harder to find strikers of Haji’s talent than people on this app think.”
One fan added to the sentiment, as he believes Frank Lampard will get the best out of him, as he said: “Nice to see somebody who realises you can’t just find a striker on demand who can bag you twenty goals in the championship. He may be frustrating at times, but I fully believe Frank and co. can get the best out of him.”
While another fan thinks he is a quality player the club can’t lose, as they said: “I want him to stay, as I think he’s our best natural forward on and off the ball. If he can stay fully fit next season, he’s going to smash it.”
