Leeds United will need competition in their squad next season as Daniel Farke must have players fighting for the badge.
As Sean Longstaff is set to be the fifth arrival at Elland Road this summer, the 49ers are beginning to find their feet in the transfer market again.

With a medical booked, and everything in the deal agreed, the right-back was ready to complete his move, but news that has broken today has suggested the deal is completely off.
Besiktas released a club statement which stated the following: “It is publicly known that the arrival of Kyle Walker-Peters, with whom we previously announced an agreement in principle and invited him to Istanbul for a medical examination, has been postponed.

Every other area of the squad there is bound to be competition, but the right-back role is nailed down by the 24-year-old.
Previously, it was stated that Kyle Walker-Peters could have signed for Leeds in January, but now that he’s left Southampton, he’s officially a free agent.
“Today, Kyle Walker-Peters notified us, requesting an extension. Consequently, our club has withdrawn its transfer.
“Our club continues its transfer efforts in accordance with its established policy. We respectfully inform the public.”
Whether Walker-Peters would make for upgrade on Bogle at Leeds
Surely this news has piqued the interest of the Leeds hierarchy, as it’s very rare to see something like this happen.
Leeds previously made contact with Walker-Peters, with it being made clear that cementing a deal would be ‘tough’.
Of course, Besiktas have found that out the hard way, as Walker-Peters has seemingly rejected a move last minute.
With the right-back’s availability back on the line, would the right-back actually make for an upgrade in what Leeds have already got?
There is a fair comparison in this after Bogle has also recently played Premier League football, and it’s a close battle.
It’s a tough call for Farke to make, but the obvious reason is that competition is healthy, especially for the Premier League.
Walker-Peters was one of many free agents Leeds could sign, and now, instead of being unavailable, he is a player the Whites can sign in a dramatic turn of events.
