Bournemouth can make offer for Andoni Iraola target – Push ahead of Bundesliga rivals

AFC Bournemouth have joined the battle to sign Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera, according to Cadena Ser.

The Premier League club have sold Dean Huijsen and are negotiating potential exits for Illia Zabarnyi and Milos Kerkez as well.

Andoni Iraola is looking for two centre-backs who can fit into his plans at Bournemouth and has set his sights on Mosquera.

Bournemouth have joined RB Leipzig in the battle to sign the defender.

The German club have shown most interest but haven’t made advances as they are yet to appoint a new manager. Mosquera wants to talk to the manager before making any decision.

The Cherries are looking for young and talented players, who will be affordable due to their contract situations. The report states the 20-year-old has all the characteristics for Bournemouth to make a bid to the La Liga club.

Mosquera has a year left on his contract and if he were to leave, the defender wants Valencia to make money and also a percentage of a future sale.

Cadena Ser states Los Ches met with the Spain U21 international’s agent last week but have still not submitted a renewal offer. New Valencia CEO Ron Gourlay has to draft the proposal taking the club’s financial conditions into account.

Mosquera’s contract situation allows Bournemouth to secure an affordable deal. Leipzig’s lack of advances can see the English club take the lead to sign the player identified by Iraola.

Mosquera is currently at the U21 Euros and is not in a rush to make a decision on his future.
