West Brom urged to move for Crystal Palace player in the event of Everton signing Tom Fellows
It was reported by TEAMtalk earlier this week that the Premier League side are preparing an offer worth £10 million for the winger.
It is understood that the Baggies are planning on cashing in on the 21-year-old after they missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season.
If Fellows departs, then there’s a good chance that new manager Ryan Mason will want to spend some of that money searching for a replacement for him in the first-team squad.
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi transfer claim
When asked who the club should consider as a replacement for Fellows, FLW’s West Brom fan pundit Callum Burgess named Jesurun Rak-Sakyi as someone that could be a good option.
He believes the winger performed well for Sheffield United last season, and that he has the potential to become as valuable as Fellows if given time to develop.
“I think if you’re talking about ready-made replacements for us, someone who, although is not exactly the same type of winger as him, David Brooks, if he can be tempted away from Bournemouth,” Burgess told Football League World.
“Because he’s not really getting much game time from them on a consistent basis, and when he was on loan at Southampton when they won the play-offs, I thought he did really well for them.
“And if Albion can get a player of his quality through the door, that would be a real bonus for Ryan Mason.
“I wouldn’t be too surprised to see Albion go in the direction of trying to find a gem from abroad, in the mould of Isaac Price and Torbjorn Heggem.
“But I think if we’re going for a name who is a bit more known to Albion fans, then I believe Crystal Palace are willing to let go of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this year.
“He did well at Sheffield United last season, and if their asking price isn’t extortionate, I think he’d be a good player and an opportunity for Albion to get a young replacement for Fellows, who can potentially be sold on for even more in the future and keep developing with Albion as well.”
West Brom finished ninth in the Championship last season, and have since appointed Mason as manager, as they eye a Premier League return.

If Fellows goes, then West Brom will need to replace his attacking output if they’re to compete for promotion next season.
Rak-Sakyi could be a smart option given his performances in a promotion-contending side last season, scoring seven times in 34 appearances for Sheffield United.
It remains to be seen what kind of fee Crystal Palace would seek for the 22-year-old, or if he’s someone the Baggies could afford.
A left-field option from overseas is the likeliest option, but Rak-Sakyi would be a known quantity that they could rely on to perform as an alternative.
