Bournemouth change stance over transfer – More ‘reasonable’ than before, transfer confidence increases

Bournemouth and Paris Saint-Germain have resumed talks over a deal for defender Illya Zabarnyi, with the Cherries resetting their estimations.

That’s according to journalist Santi Aouna, who reports that Bournemouth have set a more ‘reasonable’ price regarding the Ukrainian defender.

PSG have reportedly targeted the 22-year-old as a top target this summer as the look to strengthen their Champions League winning squad.

Bournemouth have proven to be resistant to any deal, setting a big asking price for the defender after already losing Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid this summer.

They’ve set a big asking price on the player as he’s a key player under Andoni Iraola, forming a particularly solid relationship with Huijsen last season.

Aouna now reports that they’ve changed their stance and are being ‘more reasonable’ over their asking price. That’s led to negotiations being resumed between them and PSG over him. The French giants haven’t made a new offer yet, though.

They have, though, already secured a personal agreement with Zabarnyi on a contract until 2030 so that is one major hurdle already cleared. Now they have to find an agreement with Bournemouth but with conversations now in a more healthy place, it may be a case of when not if.

‘Everything is good’ – Bournemouth have signed transfer agreement, medical done and with five-year deal

Bournemouth are set to complete a deal for Rennes defender Adrien Truffert, with a transfer agreement now signed.

That’s according to Benjamin Quarez, who reports that ‘everything is good’ and the 23-year-old has completed a medical with Bournemouth already.

According to his information, the full-back has signed a five-year deal and Bournemouth and Rennes have signed a transfer agreement for him. There is no mention of the transfer cost agreed between the two clubs.

Bournemouth have been moving to secure Truffert’s signature over the last few weeks as they look to replace Milos Kerkez.

The Hungarian international is expected to leave the club this summer and join Liverpool. That will leave a hole on Bournemouth’s left-hand side which will need to be filled.

Truffert is seemingly the man that they’ve targeted and Quarez now reports that the deal is in the final stages. With a medical done, a five-year deal signed and an agreement now in place between the two sides, it would appear it’s in the final stages too.

The defender could even become the first signing in what is looking likely to be a big summer of business for the Cherries.

Chelsea and Bournemouth see bids rejected, need to make improved offers – Tottenham also in picture for signing

Lazio’s Mario Gila is on Chelsea, AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur’s agenda for this summer.

That’s according to Il Messaggero, who state Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all keeping an eye on the 24-year-old.

Chelsea and Bournemouth have both made advances in their pursuit of the centre-back.

On Friday, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà reported the Serie A club have turned down the Cherries’ €40m offer. He also said Lazio consider the defender to be non-transferable.

Il Messaggero backs up Bournemouth’s €40m proposal and adds that Chelsea also made a €35m bid, which was also rejected.

Maurizio Sarri returned to the club and has asked not to sell the Spaniard. Gila impressed under the manager in his first spell at Lazio and the Italian has to fix some of his ‘flaws’ that emerged this season.

Therefore, the Biancocelesti rejected Chelsea and Bournemouth’s €35m and €40m bids respectively, but the report states ‘with €50m it’ll be another matter’. This indicates Lazio would be open to selling Gila for around €50m.

The Premier League duo are joined by Tottenham, PSG and Real Madrid, who haven’t made advances. Los Blancos sold Gila to Lazio and are entitled to receive 50% from his future sale.
