The future of Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White is seemingly up in the air this summer.
Manchester City are big admirers of Gibbs-White, and it would appear that he has an admirer in Pep Guardiola away from the City Ground.
Evangelos Marinakis drives a hard bargain, however, and top players will only be sold for top fees these days on Trentside.
With Forest now a European club, there will be no danger of the Forest owner rolling over and having his belly tickled by some of the game’s bigger football clubs for any of his top players.

The Reds are adamant that Gibbs-White is a player who the club wants to stay at the City Ground.
According to TalkSPORT, Forest now want £100 million for their number 10 and won’t budge on that valuation during the summer transfer window.
It could represent a problem in the long term, however, with Gibbs-White having two years to run on his existing deal, and if he does stay, an extension will surely be in the offing.
Refreshingly, it appears that City are deterred by the latest valuation placed on the head of Gibbs-White and are set to take him off their shortlist for the summer.
Gibbs-White enjoyed a superb third season at Forest, scoring seven times and posting 10 assists as the Reds claimed a very respectable seventh-place finish.
Forest keeping Gibbs-White would be huge
It would be a real bonus for Forest to be heading into European action with Gibbs-White leading the team out.
He’s been the club’s talismanic playmaker for three years now, and the season that Forest have just experienced is largely down to his brilliance.
Gibbs-White going would be a blow, even if money would subsequently be available to spend, and keeping him does make a lot of sense.
It appears unlikely that the number 10 will kick up a fuss and demand to leave and unless someone is willing to part with £100 million, it appears that Gibbs-White will be back for pre-season this summer.

Nottingham Forest have made a quick start to the summer transfer window.
Nottingham Forest are closing in on three new signings, with Brazilian trio Igor Jesus, Cuiabano and Jair Cunha close to making the move to the City Ground.
The Tricky Trees are expected to outlay around £33m on the three deals, with Jesus taking up the majority of that fee.
Forest are also exploring a move to sign Roony Bardghji, who has just snubbed a new contract at Copenhagen.
Meanwhile, on the outgoing front, Morgan Gibbs-White has been heavily linked to Manchester City, but now there is a positive development on that situation.

Nottingham Forest fans have been facing a nervous wait over the last few weeks to find out whether Morgan Gibbs-White will be staying.
Forest have been demanding £100m to sell Gibbs-White in the hope it would fend off Man City boss Pep Guardiola.
And, it looks like they’ve been successful in that, as the Citizens have now turned to AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that a deal has been agreed to sign Reijnders, so Guardiola is expected to drop his interest in Gibbs-White.
Forest may cool interest in James McAtee
Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo can now plan with Gibbs-White in his squad next season, so there may be a more relaxed approach to bringing in a creative midfielder.
Man City’s James McAtee was seen as a potential Gibbs-White replacement, so that deal may now be off the table.
A striker appears to be Espirito Santo’s priority at the moment, with Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin the latest to be linked to the City Ground.
Bournemouth frontman Evanilson is also on Forest’s radar, but that certainly won’t be an easy deal to complete.
