Aston Villa midfielder Amadou Onana celebrating

Saudi Club Make Contact to Sign £140000-a-Week Aston Villa Star..

Aston Villa midfielder Amadou Onana could join the west Midlands exodus of talents this summer, with the likes of Emiliano Martinez and Marcus Rashford potentially never playing for the club again – with reports suggesting that a move to Saudi Arabia could be on the cards after an enquiry.

The 6ft 4in midfielder has been a revelation since joining Everton three years ago, racking up 89 appearances in the Premier League for both sides combined, as well as coming into the Champions League after a season in Ligue 1 at Lille – but his time in England could come to an end with Saudi side Al-Hilal in the running for his signature.

The Middle Eastern giants are considering a move for the Belgian, and have gathered information about potentially securing a deal over the summer months, despite Onana only joining Villa from Everton last summer on a £140,000-per-week contract.

The player has yet to rule out a potential move, but talks are only at a ‘very early stage’, with no offer being made to Villa as yet – but Tavolieri has bookmarked a potential move as ‘one to watch’ as Onana looks to cement his place in Belgium’s 2026 World Cup squad.

Despite joining Villa for a reported £50million fee last summer, he only started four of Villa’s 12 Champions League games, featuring off the bench in just one of those – whilst two separate injuries in the Premier League saw him start just 20 of their 38 games, including a run in the side towards the end of the season that saw Unai Emery’s men win seven of their final nine games to go within goal difference of securing a Champions League spot.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Amadou Onana has 20 caps for Belgium, but he has yet to score for the Red Devils.

At the age of just 23, he’d be a big loss to Villa’s midfield depth, but with the likes of Youri Tielemans, John McGinn and Boubacar Kamara all vying for first-team spots, the Senegal-born star could opt for first-team football in the Saudi Pro League alongside teammates Emiliano Martinez and Leon Bailey, who have also been linked with a move to the Middle Eastern nation.
